Arlington Sister City Association (ASCA) is a nonprofit organization which supports and coordinates the activities of Arlington County’s five Sister Cities: Aachen in Germany; Coyoacán in Mexico; Ivano-Frankivsk in Ukraine. Reims in France and San Miguel in El Salvador.

GloBeat Spring ’17 Compilation

This episode of GloBeat with title GloBeat ’17 Compilation is in a sense an experiment.  The source for each  selection in this episode comes from CD’s produced by a single label: Putumayo, which focuses on World Music.

Somehow, a good number of the CD’s are compilations of music from some remote islands.  So for the first time I discovered music from Rapa Nui (Easter Island).  Other islands in this GloBreat episode are Sumatra, Cuba, New Zealand,  Sicily, and Cape Verde.
